I wanted to pen down my feelings to remember this moment.
The past year and a half has gone by in a flash – but I truly felt so alive and having lived a real moment during this period in spite of all the restrictions.
I am glad to have met a bunch of people who taught me about living in the moment and not caring about what’s next. If there’s one thing we need to remember from the pandemic, it’s to live a little and to focus on what’s best for yourself.
I can’t express enough gratitude for the strong connections I’ve made over the last year. These friends taught me all about being free, and less about worrying about the future.
Every time we meet up, we play the song “We are Young” and I do think it’s a great one to remind ourselves that it doesn’t matter what age we’re at, it’s about carrying each other through the highs and lows.
Tonight
We are young
So let’s set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun
Thank you, good bye, and see you soon.
Love,
Olly’21
