Tassie Part II: Freycinet National Park

When we picked up the Mystery Machine, the service guy was telling us just how great the East Coast was and shared a ton of recommendations for it. Coincidentally, when I planned this trip, many of the stops were along this side!

We started our day early with a quick breakfast and headed down to Freycinet National Park.

Chris and I are huge nature lovers and hiking fans and we knew immediately that we had to do the full 11km circuit around Wineglass Bay.

Headed first to Honeymoon Bay as there was supposed to be a Ranger talk on the blowhole but it turned out to be pretty underwhelming.

Unfortunately was a cloudy day so the view was not the best. Still pretty cool though!

Hike was relatively easy with flat lands and minimal climbing.

Dinner treat after a long day!
With double scoop ice cream, no less!

Called it a night after dinner when it was still bright outside.

And that’s how we spent our first day of 2023 🙂

Love, Olly’23
